Tzedakah is a central mitzvah of Judaism. The following is a list of funds available for donations to honor and remember your loved ones and friends.


Don Dafilou Building Fund: Helps to keep our building and grounds in repair.

Floral Fund: Provides flowers on the bimah for Shabbat and holidays.

Library Fund: Provides books, tapes and periodicals for our library.

Prayerbooks and Plaut Bibles: Dedication of a siddur or Bible for Shabbat in honor or in memory of family or friends.

Prayerbook Fund: Used to replace books that become unusable

Resource Room for Special Needs: Provides equipment, supplies and staff for our special needs children.

Craig A. Fisher Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is presented to a student(s) who demonstrate the ideals of humanity, integrity, compassion and scholastic aptitude, and who continues their studies at Gratz College, I.M. Wise Department.

The Aaron Feld Memorial Fund and the Art Dansky Memorial Fund: Support many religious needs of the Temple; speakers and special religious programming.

Lincow Institute for Adult Jewish Studues: Provides lifelong educational programming. Joyce E. Shotz Memorial Fund: Aids families who need financial help to send their children to religious school.

Lipkowitz Scholarship Fund: An award given each year to an outstanding student to attend the I.M.Wise Program at Gratz College, a student who shares their love of Jewish education and learning.

 

Evelyn Stein Memorial Fund: This award is presented to an outstanding student to continue their education in the I.M. Wise Program at Gratz College.

Ostroff Scholarship Fund: Each year a portion of this fund is used to assist families who encounter financial challenges that threaten their ability to pay the costs associated with the continuation of students Bar/Bat Mitzvah and Confirmation studies.

Torah Fund, Chuppah Fund and Torah Cover Fund: For the maintenance and replacement of our ceremonial objects on the bimah.

Music Fund: To purchase new music and maintain our piano and organ

Oneg Shabbat Fund: Used in the absense of sponsors

Education Fund: Provides our school with special supplies for projects that are over and above our budget allotment.

Rabbi Leib, Rabbi Sklarz, Rabbi Waintrup, Cantor Zarkh Discretionary Funds: These funds are used primarily at the discretion of the Rabbis and Cantor for a variety of causes

The Philip Etkowitz Education Fund: This newly established fund by the Eizen family subsidizes the cost of a trip to Israel by our 9th and 10th grade Confirmation Academy students.
