The mission of this group is to welcome both Jews and their non-Jewish partners into our Jewish community. We encourage those who are in interfaith relationships, the unaffiliated and those who feel a disconnect with Judaism to see the benefits of being a part of our diverse community. It is our hope to provide programming, education and community to those seeking to worship and connect with our faith in a warm, friendly and inclusive environment. We work cohesively with the clergy in the best interest of fulfilling this goal. Allow us to be a resource for you. Consider coming to one of the Outreach Committee sponsored events.
Are you a mother raising Jewish children…but you’re not Jewish? Don't do it alone!
The Mothers Circle Mini-Course provides FREE education and support for women of other religious backgrounds who are raising Jewish children. This course will focus on Jewish rituals, ethics, and the how-to’s of creating a Jewish home. Come be a part of this warm and nurturing environment and feel empowered to take on the responsibility of raising children in Judaism. Participants are not required to be affiliated with a Jewish institution or have any prior knowledge of Judaism. The Mothers Circle is a program of the Jewish Outreach Institute and is made possible locally by the Outreach Committee at Old York Road Temple-Beth Am.
