Parking and Pick-Up/Drop-Off
Please be courteous of others during pick-up and drop-off. The speed limit is under 15 mph on the “Spur Road.” It is important you pay attention when you are picking up and dropping off your children. Please do not leave your car unattended in the pick-up line. In order to maximize safety, we ask that all parents of students in Grades K-1 to please come into the building and go your child’s classroom for pick-up. If you have multiple children in the school, the older sibling may pick-up a student in Grades K or 1 at the classroom and escort them outside. Students in Grades 2-6 will be allowed to walk to the car. Please remember if you are picking up another child we need written notification. All students will enter and leave through the FRONT ENTRANCE ONLY.
To avoid a parking ticket please remember there is no parking on the right side of the street on Tuesday afternoons from 4:00–9:00 p.m. as indicated by the sign. Please park on the left side of the street on Tuesdays.
Students in the Confirmation Academy may leave and come into the building through the FRONT ENTRANCE ONLY. These students, must notify a teacher and sign out in the Religious School Office if they are leaving early.
We discourage early dismissals from religious school (K-6) as students attend for just a few precious hours each week. On Sunday morning, children may be picked up at 10:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. only. Tuesday afternoon, early pick up from school will be at 5:15 only. We are proactive with student safety, please understand that we will not allow any student at any time to wait outside alone.
In the event that your child must leave early, the following procedures must be followed:
- The student must give his/her teacher a note signed by a parent or guardian.
- Parent/guardian must come into the school office to sign the student out. Please be respectful of our learning environment and do not go to the classroom
A student who arrives late to class is disruptive to the teaching process and may disturb other students. Please arrange your car pools with sufficient travel time. We request that your child should be in their classroom at least 5 minutes before class is scheduled to begin.
During religious school time all of the synagogue entrances will be locked. Please ring the religious school to open the doors if a member of the staff is not standing at the front door. All students and parents will enter and exit through the front door. Please be conscientious and not allow strangers into the building by holding open the doors. If you see anything that is out of the ordinary please alert the staff or office immediately.
